6 month (and change) Update
Hadn't posted in a while, the kids keep me busy and I am back to work and school, but I wanted to see how everyone was:) Who has started solids and how are they going? Who's crawling and/or sitting? Who has teeth? Raymi started crawling this week. She'd been doing the rocking back and forth for about two weeks now but has finally started going places. Her brother didnt crawl till nearly 9 months! So this came as much of a shock to us. Though really she has always been ahead of where Tristan was at her age. She still doesn't have anything teeth and Dr. says it will be at least another 2 months. She won't get to a sitting position on her own yet but if you sit her up she will stay there and play for a good 20-30 minutes before going to crawl position. She is eating solids 3 times a day. Little chunker weighs 17lbs! O_O ...that's all I have to say about that. She's still a TERRIBLE sleeper. Like a newborn, up 4-5 times a night and hard to get back down. T was sleeping through the night by now. Maybe up once but that's it. I guess I just got spoiled with him lol. She also is just started to vocalize more but still not as much as her brother who started around 4 months. Her new thing is g buzzing her lips. I want to know how everyone else is doing! Are you tired mama's or finally getting energy back? How goes the post baby pound shedding? I am finally losing mine but I think its been cause I have been sick lately. The one bad thing about the kids starting daycare is they catch everything! More Tristan than Raymi but ugh I swear I catch a cold if I so much as hear about someone having one!

Some cute pics of my little crab:)

She's precious! Look at those arm rolls!

No crawling yet but Laurel is definitely thinking about it. She pivots and sort of scoots. She stands, though, and is desperately trying to walk and catch up to her brother. Still no teeth (her brother was a late teether too), but she loves solids (trying to do 1-2 meals a day but she sometimes begs for more). Not the best sleeper right now because she's so wiggly and wants to be mobile, but she was doing well. I'm not worried, though; Corey didn't sleep through the night until he was 2. She's very chatty, and squeals A LOT. Nice when she's happy, not nice when she's upset. Loud.

Baby weight? Nope, still got that. :(

Aaron has his two bottom teeth. Not crawling or sitting yet. But he loves his bumbo and his jumperoo. He is super chatty. He was sleeping through the night until he learned to roll over. I will be starting solids with him soon.

What a cutie! I love that first picture.

Evan turned 6 months on Sunday. He's crawling, sitting on his own, sitting from laying down, and already working on standing. He doesn't have any teeth yet, and hopefully won't for a while. :-p He's sleeping ok. Not the worst sleeper I've had, so I'm happy. He's up a couple of times a night, but we co-sleep so it's easy.

We's kind of started solids. He's had a bit of rice and bannana. He's more than ready. He has no tongue thrust reflex and is able to self feed, but he has food allergies (dairy and soy, and there may be others.) so we're taking it very slow. Because of my crazy dairy/soy free diet I am below my pre-pregnancy weight. I'm hoping to add some of that back. :-p

Your daughter is gorgeous! She's a chunkin much like my Chloe.
She doesn't sit on her own yet. She tries to get herself in the sitting position but I think her chub makes her fall over. She crawls..sort of. She "rocks" on her hands and knees - but when she wants to go somewhere she uses her elbows to pull and while on her knees, uses her toes to push. It's a strange inchworm sort of crawling but she can GO. If I turn my back for 30 seconds she will be under a table..pulling up on something. She has started talking..though she's been vocal since the day we brought her home. The last three days it's been "hey" and "bye-bye." I am sure she knows what "hey" means, as she says it when she wants your attention...but the "bye-bye" I think she just says. She loves her jumper. She is living in it right now. Her gums have been swollen for almost 2 months but we still have no teeth. She has started the ear pulling this week however, so it may not be long. She's been on solids for a month and a half and is doing great. 1-2 times a day..green beans and sweet potatoes and carrots are her favorite. She's also become a whiner. She whines EVERY TIME I look at her and am not holding her. I hope this is a phase she will grow out of soon. She sleeps from about 8-10 PM until 4-6 am for a feeding, then back to sleep until 7-8:30. I am still tired, but starting to feel like a normal human being again.. as for the baby-weight.. I am back to within 5 lbs of my pre-baby weight. Though my body is so different I'm not sure it makes a big difference. o_O

very adorable baby girl you got there.

I am a VERY tired mommy lately...fighting a UTI.

Chloe has 1 tooth coming through and she is in the rocking back and forth and then throwing herself to get places stage...I dunno if she will ever actually crawl like normal...she seems content to just throw her weight around lol. She has been on baby food since she was 3 months old and she has now moved on to 2nd foods and gets half a jar of veggies and half a jar of fruits 3 times a day...she also get juice during the day and drink about 4to 5 9 oz bottles a day and her night time bottle has cereal in it. I know they say not to do that but her doctor said it was okay to help her sleep.

Her favorite foods are sweet potatoes *the one mixed with applesauce* and Banana's too. She HATES HATES HATES peas...when I tried those I got a face full of green goop when she spit it back all over me.

She is VERY vocal and lets you know when she is happy and when she is pissed...but still no real words...she has discovered the art of sticking her tongue out and blowing spit everywhere.

She takes spells with sleep schedule...some nights she sleeps through and some she wakes up two or three times.

She suffered from a case of Rosela last week, so it was a pretty tough week for the whole family and then she got her six month shots on Tuesday.

She is still pretty crabby as I type this actually.

Here is a picture of my growing baby girl.

She now weighs in at 14.8 pounds and is 25 inches long.

I am still suffering with the baby weight...I have about 50 pounds to lose...everyone says 9 months to put it on and 9 to take it off...but I seem to be stuck...I thought about nutrisystem...but don't have $333 extra to toss out monthly. I do take green tea weight loss pills and they seem to help a little...but I just crave sweets it seems.

I never could breast feed so I didn't get the weight lose benefit that comes with that.

IF any of you are on facebook look me up under Faith Estes-Meza and add me...just let me know you are from here so I don't mistake you for a stranger.

they say girls usually do things faster than boys for some reason.

Because girls > boys. Duuuuuh. ;p

disclaimer: total grade school humor, I am not insulting any adorable baby boys.

Abigail is trying hard to crawl. She's been sitting on her own for almost two months now. She started learning to "assume the position" about a week and a half ago and it's been steady progress since. Right now she is moving her hands forward but not realizing her legs need to move too, belly flopping and then scooting. She then will sit up from laying on her tummy and do it all over again. I predict she'll be crawling before our vacation on the first.

We eat solids once a day when I have the time (so not every day since I work some nights.) So far so good. We're practicing baby led weaning so she just eats solids. She's a great chewer.

She is adorable! I love the pretty little dress :-)

Mine just started rolling over from back to front and front to back, and she's got her two bottom teeth. I'm shocked because my older daughter didn't have any teeth until 10 months! She is almost sitting unsupported but not quite there yet, and she's started to grab at toys. So cute. Still not a good sleeper. My husband has hopes that when she starts solids she may sleep better at night. Pfft. We'll see (and hope) She's a very restless little girl at night. There's been several nights I've gone out driving at 4am with her because I'm at my wit's end. It always helps. My baby weight is gone but not because of anything good. I have no appetite, so I only eat once or twice a day. I have no energy. I am tired all the time. My doctor can't find anything wrong with me, I am beginning to think I'm crazy. My life is crazy I feel so busy all the time and its been really hard adjusting to having two kids, working, going to school, and trying to keep up with the house. Plus, my older daughter went back to school this week so we have everything with her school to deal with now on top of it. It just seems so overwhelming to me. I guess I'm just weak.

Ari is doing great. He just just started to sit up on his own and crawling backwards. Hasn't figured out how to crawl forward yet. He can really get around though. He rolls over and over to get wherever he wants. I turned my back for two seconds yesterday and he was on the fireplace brick. ack!

He is a big "talker." Ba, da, gee, goo etc. Such a little cutie. He is a good sleeper. Sleeps through the night most nights.

Fwd: Ari is practicing his crawling
